Atlantis Studios announced today that the second issue of Star Runner Chronicles: Fallen Star is now available on Comixology, Amazon’s exclusive digital comics site.
Fallen Star is the opening trilogy of a multi-volume science fiction series, rolling out digitally and in print over the next two years. It follows the adventures of Aurora Palmer, a rebellious teen girl born with strange, unpredictable powers that emerge unexpectedly, and force her to confront her destiny as being more than human.
“Issue Two really raises the stakes for Aurora” said series creator James Watson, “Her powers have been revealed, and she chooses to run from her friends, the police, and a secret military organization that seems to know everything about her. Atlantis Studios announced the release of the second issue of its graphic novel series Star Runner Chronicles: Fallen Star. This new episode “Runaway” continues the adventures of Aurora Palmer, a rebellious teen girl born with strange, unpredictable powers, who pursued by a mysterious government organization who wants to exploit those powers for their own purposes.
“This episode is a turning point for the series” said Fallen Star creator James Watson, “With her powers exposed, she doesn’t know where to turn, except to her newfound friends. She must learn to trust her instincts, even as she struggles to learn the origins of her strange abilities.”
Each episode is available for direct download, or from Amazon’s digital comics site Comixology. The series was recently optioned for development into a live action feature film Aurora: The Star Runner Chronicles, through a joint venture with New South Independent and Third Shift Media.

When the government investigates her mysterious origins, Aurora decides she must uncover the truth for herself, before it’s too late!

Atlantis Studios, New South Independent, and 3rd Shift Media announced today a three-year option agreement to develop Aurora: The Star Runner Chronicles into a live action feature-length film. Aurora is a science fiction graphic novel series about a rebellious teen girl with unpredictable powers. When these powers expose her, the rebellious outcast must uncover her true origin… before it is destroyed.
This is the first feature film partnership between Atlantis Studios owned by James Watson (The Adventures of Paula Peril), New South Independent owned by Gabrielle Pickle (Only) and Megan Messmer (Imprisoned), and Third Shift Media owned by Ryan Dennett-Smith (By Nights End). Plans call for filming in Georgia, using local crew and stars from the world of independent film.
