Star Runner: Dark Star Issue One Released

by | May 16, 2021 | Press Release

Atlantis Studios announced today the release of Star Runner: Dark Star Issue #1, the next chapter in the Star Runner Chronicles digital series.

This series is the direct sequel to the best-selling graphic novel Star Runner: Fallen Star, which tells the story of seventeen-year old Aurora Palmer, a rebellious teen who learns the truth behind her alien origins, and uses her powerful abilities to protect her friends and discover her destiny.

In Issue One, Aurora is hoping to find peace in the halls of Madison High School. Vanguard is studying her parent’s alien technology, and she is learning more about her Star Runner origins. But knowing her past is not as clear as charting the future. When she uncovers an enemy hiding in the darkness of space, she realizes her new world may be threatened by a new and imminent threat!

Dark Star is the second volume of the Star Runner series and will be released digitally and in print over the next six months. The Star Runner Chronicles follows its hero Aurora from the halls of high school, to inner rings of the Galaxy, and ultimately, to her destiny in the stars.

“The new series takes Aurora to a new level of understanding of who she is, and the bigger story that she’s a part of” said series creator James Watson, “It explores concepts from the the original series, but expands Aurora’s world to include new characters – and dangers – she never imagined.”

The series was recently optioned for development into a live action feature film Aurora: The Star Runner Chronicles, through a joint venture with New South Independent and Third Shift Media.
