Atlantis Studios announced today the graphic novel publication of Star Runner Chronicles: Fallen Star. Compiling the first adventures of the popular digital comic, this 96-page book introduces the story of Aurora Palmer, a rebellious teen girl born with strange, unpredictable powers. When these powers expose her, Aurora decides she must uncover the truth for herself, before it’s too late!
Fallen Star is the opening volume of an ambitious five-volume series scheduled for release digitally and in print over the next few years. In the series, Aurora will travel from the halls of high school, to the inner rings of the Galaxy, and ultimately, to her destiny in the stars. Written by screenwriter James Watson, this star-spanning saga showcases top-notch artwork from leading professionals in the industry.
“We’re pleased to release the first chapter to bookstores around the world”, said series creator James Watson, “This first edition boasts 20 pages of extras, including exclusive concept artwork and variant covers not previously published on-line. It’s a great introduction to the series!”
The book’s rollout will begin with a direct digital release and through Amazon’s Comixology website for digital comics, then available as a trade paperback in mid-May. By early summer, book retailers will be able to order copies through regular distribution channels.
The series was recently optioned for development into a live action feature film Aurora: The Star Runner Chronicles, through a joint venture with New South Independent and Third Shift Media.
