by | Jul 21, 2021 | Press Release

Atlantis Studios announced today the release of Star Runner: Dark Star Issue #2, the next episode in the Star Runner Chronicles digital series.

Dark Star is the direct sequel to the best-selling graphic novel Star Runner: Fallen Star, which tells the story of seventeen-year old Aurora Palmer, a rebellious teen who learns the truth behind her alien origins, and uses her powerful abilities to protect her friends and discover her destiny.

In Issue Two, Aurora has been taken prisoner by the Dark Star Runner. Her friends Scott and Kristine search anxiously for their missing friend, while Vanguard investigates the suspicious theft of alien technology from their secret laboratory. While held captive, Aurora learns a darker side of her parent’s legacy and realizes the person who holds the key to her past may also be her greatest enemy!

The Dark Star series is the second volume of the Star Runner Chronicles, written by screenwriter James Watson, released in digital comic episodes every quarter. The series follows its hero Aurora Palmer from her normal teen origins, to inner rings of the Galaxy, and ultimately, to her destiny in the stars.

“The new episode expands Aurora’s view of her past, but also forces her to look deeper into how much she can do with her abilities” said James Watson, “Circumstances force her to make a stand for her friends, but such a choice is not without unexpected, far-reaching consequences.”

The Star Runner series was recently optioned for development into a live action feature film, through a joint venture with New South Independent and Third Shift Media.
